Alternative Energy Sources For Single Family Homes

November 20th, 2011

Consumers do not need to rely on the electric company to disperse the electrical energy to their home. There are alternate sources. Alternate sources include solar energy with the use of solar panels and wind energy with the use of windmills.

Solar energy is very popular. People install solar panels to the roof of their homes or buildings that collect energy from the rays of the sun. Solar panels are modular. This means that you can add more solar panels to the existing solar panels as you need them.I was looking for more information and found it here. Solar panels are light and easy to haul up to the roof. They typically weigh only about twenty pounds. Because the sun is always shining, you will always be able to accrue solar energy.

Wind energy is becoming very popular. Wind energy is a clean way to use electricity. People who use this type of energy invest in a windmill or wind turbine. These can be expensive to buy but in the end, you are paying off that wind turbine and saving extreme amounts of money. Wind turbines are set up in your yard, typically on a higher elevation to catch the wind at the perfect point.
By using alternative energy, you will be helping to conserve our country.
