Get Your Community Together
November 10th, 2011
If your community holes up on the weekends to watch directtv satellite HD or spend time with their nuclear families we’ve got a few suggestions for getting everyone out and together. If you’re working on bringing your neighborhood together, try some of these tactics:
Plant a Community Garden: Who doesn’t love a reason to work together for something that has a payoff? A community garden is great for kids and the environment and it’s going to save everyone money when they can harvest their own vegetables!
Create a Cause: Why not come up with a neighborhood walk or event to benefit a cause everyone can get behind? Plan a 5K or even a volunteer day and encourage everyone in your community to participate together. Neighborhood Yard Sale: If your neighbors seem to be money motivated, offer the opportunity to sell your old junk at a giant joint yard sale. Keep some of the profits to go towards community projects and allow everyone equal space and the opportunity to meet and interact before the big day.
